1969 Penske Camaro

This is the Penske Racing, SUNOCO sponsored, 1969 Camaro.  This car was campaigned by Penske Racing for the entire 1969 SCCA Trans-Am season, and earned Chevrolet the manufacturer's championship, beating every other factory effort.

Following the 1969 season, this chassis was then purchased by Roy Woods Racing, and was campaigned for the entire 1970 SCCA Trans-Am season.

This is the only 1969 Penske Camaro known to still exist.  This car was designed and built by Penske Racing, with significant additional assistance and support from Chevrolet Engineering.
